Paris
has always been an important destination
for merchants, students and pilgrims,
but its tourism flux increased significantly
since 1840s.
The universal exhibitions attracted
to Paris a great number of visitors.
During these exhibitions a lot of new
monuments were created: the Eiffel Tower
was built for the universal exhibition
of 1899.
The embellishments, dating back to the
Second Empire, have contributed to the
present beauty and magic of the city.
Paris is an important cultural centre
that attracts every year about 26 millions
of tourists from all over the world.
It offers a lot of interesting museums,
like the Louvre and the Orsay museum,
and exceptional places like the Champs-Elysees.
The French capital is also the capital
of shows, exhibitions, fashion, luxury,
gastronomy and of course…of love.
