This
place was anciently occupied by a cemetery
that disappeared progressively to leave
its place to the commercial quarter of “les
Halles”.
Built for the reach merchants of this area,
the Saint Eustache church was conceived
as the highest religious monument of Paris
and it has kept her charm.
The decorations of this gothic church remind
the renaissance and the classicism.
This church houses the tombs of several
famous people like the minister Colbert
and the musician Jean Philippe Rameau.
